Today we are reviewing the Beretta Nano 9MM. I was watching the Sportsman channel the other night and they were talking about the Beretta Nano. I figured it has been a while since I had done a review, which by the way I need to be much better at doing more than once a month…. As our friend Dean reminds me of all the time. Glad I have people around me like that, otherwise half of this stuff would never get done, just kidding.
Anyway, I stopped by Ultimate Defense because they have a great variety of guns for you to try and a great range to try it out on. I asked Craig at the counter for the gun and he gave it to me and away I went. I am always looking for two things when I am buying a handgun, one-something I can carry and two-something I can take to the range and enjoy. The first thing I noticed is it fits in your hand pretty good, until you fire it, then it feels like it is going to pop out of the top of your hand. I really did not like the grip at all, that is one thing I definitely would change. It is just hard to hang on to. It does shoot pretty accurate from about 7 to 10 yards and it is very easy to fast draw and hit the vitals on the silhouette target. It fits really easily in a front or back pocket. It is very slim and has a 3-inch barrel. The other thing I did not really care for was when you take it apart you need a screwdriver or tool to turn the unlocking screw. You cannot manually do it. Once you get it apart it comes out in about 4 pieces. Reminded me a lot of the Glock, so it would be very easy to clean. If you are use to having a tool to open your gun then it will be no big deal. Where as since I am the one doing the review, I am telling you what I like and dislike. If you want to do your own review go to our blog/forum page and have at it. No really please do we would love it. Anyway here are the specs below and you can pick one up for about $420.00 at Ultimate Defense in St. Peters, M & M in St. Peters or Franklin’s in Troy, Missouri or any of our other fine dealers. Until next time, keep shooting straight and remember you only get one chance with a gun… always be safe.
